A 2025 systematic review and meta-analysis of tirzepatide (Masson and colleagues, Reviews in Endocrine and Metabolic Disorders ) found that across seven randomized trials, tirzepatide reduced hsCRP by about 33% and IL-6 by about 18% compared to placebo and the effect held even at the lowest 5 mg dose
