The gouache portrait is housed under glass and is a small rendering of Nicolas Delaunay's 1775 painting Les Soins Tardifs (The Belated Care). The box is oval shaped, intricately decorated with an ornate neoclassical frieze. Hinged lid opens to reveal a dark blue velvet lined interior. In overall good antique condition
