Helmets of this type were worn by Roman legionaries around the 3rd century AD. The models of the helmets found there were possibly derived from those of the Persian Empire, which was emerging during that period. Constructed from steel, the helmet features cheek plates and a neck protector. It is decorated with motifs that are typical of the Late Roman art style. The helmet is
