Elena Dawson Velvet Skirt Their tenure ran the labelA velvet skirt by Elena Dawson, the eponymous label founded in 2006 by the British designer of the same name, who works as sole designer and maker. Pieces are draped and sculpted by hand on a dress form and constructed in house by a very small team, using natural fibres throughout. The label's work is semi deconstructed, with a worn, lived in surface character and references to historical dress.
