Best for near term drinking. 2005 WE 96 Universally acclaimed, with deep cassis, graphite, and licorice notes. Dense tannins, superb delineation, and long finish. A wine for decades of aging. 2012 WE 92 Elegant, mid weight, with cassis, pencil shavings, and fine tannins. Approachable now, not a blockbuster but enjoyable. 2017 WE 97
